Deviation Actions
I have recently discovered a bunch of card and paper crafting pictures I thought I had lost! So look for more to make it on to my page over the next little bit (or long bit ... timelines can be tricky). But another thought has been rattling around in my head for a while. One of the things I spend a great deal of time on is my writing, and I have posted very few of my works. So after seeing what other deviants have done I am entertaining the idea of posting pieces here more than ever. But I'm not sure if there is an interest in that.
So here's the question: Should I begin posting pieces of my (still in progress) book here? (The Starchaser)
I'm thinking one chapter at a time. The Starchaser had been in the works for years at thins point and I very seldom let it out into the wild without supervision so this feels like a big step, lol. A number of pieces from my gallery pertain to it as well so you can see if I paint the characters in words as well as I do in pencil. *nervously smiles* I only ask that you be kind but constructive if you comment on it. It is, after all, kinda personal.
Next question: Should I open paper crafting commissions on my Deviant Art page? (Roses and Cards)
For a long while now I have done commissions for people I can meet and see in person only. It saves on postage and other external complications. It is hard to let go of the ability to walk up to someone and hand them my work. From there I can gauge how well I met expectations and if I managed to bring a little wow factor. I know that people outside of my little bubble might be interested but I haven't quite turned the corner on this idea yet. I would offer a selection from roses* to different levels of cards (very intricate, in-depth, and basic). All prices would also have to include shipping even for the cards. Many of the cards I make are dimensional and cannot be mailed in just an envelope without risk of damage or extra postage costs (and believe me I have gone rounds with the post office on both counts).
So ... thoughts? On one or both? Let me know!
*Note - I will not duplicate any of the cards or roses created for Critical Role. They are meant to be my personal and unique 'Thank You' to them. I would be open to variations depending on the idea behind them.

A Rough Patch...
My health has been really rough lately and as such my posting have come along a lot slower than I would like. I am slowly working through my back log (which has only grown). Many of the images I'm working on right now are some of my oldest pictures with poor lighting and resolutions. I am trying to digitally restore them but it is a slow process. As for the health stuff... I continue to battle with chronic dizziness, loss of balance and pain. And with my long standing mobility problems (knees and hips) this has been crippling. I have been going to a myriad of doctors as we try to root out the cause. Along the road what we have figured out is~ - I have a condition that is causing mild compression of my spinal chord - I have an auto-immune disease call Hashimoto's - neither condition is the cause of my primary problems - we've eliminated all the easy answers through LOTS of bloodwork … and so the search continues, with more doctors and more tests in my future. With that in mind, I
2023 Hopes nDreams
So, in the past I've had big ambitions about all the new posting I was going to get done, or incredible projects I'd come up with, but it never seems to quite take form like I hope. A big part of that has been my health. When I'm doing well I get excited and line up a bunch of things to accomplish. But then I'll hit a speed bump and everything gets derailed. So instead of some crazy game plan I can't keep up in the rough times I've tried to start a new (hopefully practical) plan for this upcoming year.... I had previously set up to stream on craft projects on Mondays and a homebrew tabletop game on Wednesdays. I will be switching to streaming craft projects on every-other Monday, alternating with a day to post, prep, and work on miscellaneous things that need to get done. my Wednesdays will remain the same for now. Once my current campaign finishes I will then look at revising the plan for whatever ttrpg I go into next. I will continue to write, edit, and publish more on my other
Streaming and beyond...
I have been spending a considerable amount of time sorting through and trying to organize my oodles of crafting supplies and have far too many overly ambitious ideas. But after several long conversations with a number of friends who are streamers I decided to put that creative energy to good use. So I have begun streaming! For the time being I will be streaming on Twitch Mondays around 2pm central. Feel free to stop by and say hi! It is currently a pretty low-key stream with me working on miscellaneous projects (like roses and D&D tools) while I try to get a handle on the technical demands of streaming. If you like seeing me create, drop me a follow or sub on Twitch. You can also become a patron of mine and get access to a tutorial I wrote on creating paper roses and other benefits to come! New Chapters, New Challenges ...
I want to thank everyone who has continued to follow me and my work. I am aware that recent postings have been sparse and (as always) I hope to post more soon and more often. While there has been a lot of good in my life in the last year, there have also been a ton of major changes and major challenges along the way. I am still trying to get a good footing with all of the differences. So all of your wonderful patience is appreciated. In light of all this craziness our world is currently facing I have experienced my own difficulties. Evidently in isolation depression and anxiety can make a tough situation even uglier. This is the main cause of my absence. I do have a wonderful support system, including my loving husband, that has been instrumental in helping me get through this. I am looking to hopefully be able to dedicate more of my time to being creative since I know this is probably the best self-care I can do. But to accomplish this I may need a little bit of a helping hand with

I'd be interested in reading your book! I will throw out the word of caution though that it's not unlikely to have your original work stolen by someone who wants to profit off of it, because that's happened to me before. Though perhaps you could participate in NaNoWriMo next month as a means of working on and finishing your novel?
